Learn by doing

In my first large canvas painting, I steal inspiration from Helen Frankenthaler’s (Bach) Sacred Theatre. In Barbie pink coveralls, I color mixed and matched with pre-sketched, non-primed canvas. Mixing water with acrylics and painting horizonal, allows for the acrylic paint to take on properties of watercolor. Soak-staining technique allows the bleeds of colors and pooling through the canvas
